My name is Thomas Ferreira. I’m a 17-year-old Brazilian who loves skateboarding and fishing. I spent my childhood in Sao Paulo and moved to Miami 5 years ago. This move was a blessing in my life as I was diagnosed last two years with a kidney condition called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) that requires a transplant, and here, I can get the medical care I need. Fortunately, my dear sister Mariana has a donor for the procedure. I also have a surgeon, and the transplant is planned for the middle of September. It makes me feel even more blessed. Unfortunately, the only thing that is standing in my way is my family’s financial situation. The move here was challenging for my mom, who is raising us on her own. We need some help to cover the expenses of the medicines, extra procedures, basic bills, food, and transportation. As I want to keep my dreams of going to college and living a healthy life, I want to ask you, from the bottom of my heart, to contribute to my journey, and help me have my kidney transplant to any extent that you can. Meu nome é Valéria e sou mãe do Thomás e da Mariana.

Há dois anos estamos enfrentando uma rara doença FSGS nos dois rins do Thomás.Retenção de água,sintomas diários e terríveis,tratamento com remédios experimental para protelar a inevitável provável solução,o Transplante de Rins.

Ele já passou por algumas operações tal como Colocação de Catheter emergêncial por conta do falecimento renal em novembro passado,em seguida Dialysis três vezes por semana,Construcao de uma fístula no braço direita ,extração do Catheter,para evitar uma infecção,etcetera.

Resumindo,quase dez internações e infinitas visitas no atendimento de emergência .

Essa semana,será o Transplante,Mariana doadora,eu me candidatei porém descobri que não sou compatível com nenhum dos dois.Estamos positivos e esperançosos porém pode haver reincidência imediata.O seguro negou dois procedimentos para a limpeza do sangue,que poderia diminuir a probabilidade .

Necessito,infelizmente,pedir uma contribuição financeira,se for possível,porque a guerreira esta exaurida.Não tenho mais condições,nesse momento,de responder por absolutamente tudo,sozinha.Sim,totalmente sozinha,foi sempre assim.

Se chegamos até aqui,foi muita resiliência,luta,foco ,determinação

e responsabilidade.Zerei em termos gerais.

Necessito focar na Cura do Thomas,e de alguma maneira renovar o seguro dele que irá vencer esse final de ano.Tantas outras coisas e contas que necessito quitar e equacionar,só conseguirei resolver com a colaboração de vocês.

My name is Rosencarlos Soares Coelho,and the fundraiser is not for my self. It is for Thomas Montag Ferreira, my son in law and his mother. They have been through a lot of rough time for the past two years since July 2020,once they found out that Thomas got a rare disease (Focal Segmental glomerulosclerosis)which caused the failure of both kidneys. He had a lot of episodes in Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, unlimited hours in ER, with severe symptoms. Thomas had to place a catheter, build a fistula and take out a catheter to get ready for dialysis (last nine months)and now he did a infinitely appointments and labs and visit to different doctors to get ready for the transplant. Even his sister came to this country to be his living donor. I opened a bank account especially for this fundraiser with his mother, that only them will use for whatever they need to resolve problems.The amount of money that we collected with family, friends, friends of friends, and community will serve to help them to pay basic bills, house maintenance, food, transportation, medicine, treatments, and doctors that the insurance doesn’t cover.
