Hurricane Melissa caused severe damage in parts of Jamaica, and our family, living in Mt. Carey, was heavily impacted. Their homes were destroyed, and they are now all staying together under one small roof without electricity, running water, transportation, or steady access to food. Two family members are physically disabled and unable to work, and many others are currently out of work due to the circumstances, which makes the situation even more challenging. While everyone is thankfully safe, the conditions are extremely difficult, and rebuilding will take time and resources they simply don’t have.

We are raising funds to help them cover immediate needs—food, clean water, basic supplies, bedding, transportation—and to begin repairing their homes. Any contribution, big or small, will provide meaningful support as they work to get back on their feet. Your support will not only help our family but also the community in which they live.
