About five years ago, Scott Kennaugh flew from Newcastle, Australia to Tapachula, Mexico to help serve at an orphanage called Mision Mexico. While he was there, he fell in love with the children that surrounded him. His passion for surfing and helping others collided and he knew this place would play a major role in his story. As Scott he left to go back home, the kids doubted him when he said he would be back--they had heard it before. This motivated him even more to do everything he could to return and serve again and again. Through the years, Scott has spent many Christmas's at Mision Mexico, made new friends there (such as Josh Wray who will be joining us this trip), found a job in San Clemente, California through the people he met so he could be closer to the place he passionately loves, and has shared the stories of these children to many others.

So April 15th, 2017, a team from DSC* and others will be heading down to Mision Mexico to run a surf camp. And we want YOU to be a part of the experience! 
We are still in need of funds for additional travel, cover baggage fees so we can bring surfboards down to leave for the kids, food and lodging for our team, and resources for the children at the orphanage (such as clothing, hygiene packs, arts and crafts, etc.).

*DSC Performance Physical Therapy and Fitness is the business that Scott got connected to through another volunteer at Mision Mexico. He now heads the training department of DSC where he does group, personal, elite surf, and sport performance training. Check out our website
