One of Australia’s only theatre groups comprised of people who live in unstable housing, SPARC Theatre members are people who love to make new work and bring it to audiences but they require support to do this.
There are 15 dedicated members of SPARC Theatre. Many in SPARC live with an acquired brain impairment and struggle to access their community. For some members meaningful relationships are incredibly few and far between.

In November 2015 SPARC Theatre presented a remarkable show called Are You Lonesome Tonight? It was about love, loss, fading memory and the remembrance of romance. The show received rave reviews and standing ovations. So of course SPARC want to get back into making work!

WHAT SPARC HAVE - 30 Weeks of Creative Workshops
SPARC Theatre meet for weekly workshops 30 weeks per year which is great but they would love to meet up every week!

WHAT SPARC NEED - $7,500 for an extra 15 weeks of workshops
The target amount of $7,500 will cover the cost of an additional 15 weeks of creative workshops for SPARC theatre who are some of the most marginalised members of the community. These workshops would commence in February 2017 with the help of Prahran Mission and the Port Phillip Community Group.

HOW WILL WE DO IT?
Port Phillip City Council staff and friends have made a promise to go DRY in JULY to support SPARC.
