The Dryden Center for Community will be a place that brings people of all ages together for activities and events with a focus on the creative arts. Our vision is that the Dryden Center for Community (DCC) will be an inclusive gathering place where the sounds and sights of community creativity always stream through its open doors. We want to create a welcoming space for everyone in the greater Dryden community. The core values of the DCC will be accessibility, diversity, and inclusion. The first step we need to accomplish is the purchase of the former Dryden United Methodist Church. The cost of the building is $275,000 and we have set our fundraising goal for the year at $400,000. This will cover both operations costs and the costs of needed renovations/upgrades to the building. We have applied for New York Forward funding, but we will need to pay for the renovations/upgrades first and then get reimbursed from NYF.
