Drybrook Ladies Team

Hi, my name is Jenna and i’m the Vice Captain for Drybrook Ladies Rugby season 25/26. As a little community run club in the middle of the Forest of Dean, and being one of the only women’s team within the area, it is very difficult to find sponsors and even support to keep us running every season.

Myself, Lucie (our ladies manager) & Fenn one of our players, have decided to walk a Marathon on Tuesday 26th August starting from The Old Court Hotel and finishing at Drybrook RFC. All the money raised will go towards the ladies section to help pay for buses, food on a Sunday, kit washing and any extra’s towards kit/medic supplies.

From Lucie - I created the ladies team 14 years ago, ever since then we have built this team up to winning leagues, national titles, cups & plates. This team is a dysfunctional family to me and I will do everything I can to keep it going, even if it means walking a marathon!!!

From Jenna - If anyone knows me, my ankles are about as useful as a chocolate tea pot, so walking 26.22 miles is going to be enough on them!! But i’m looking at pushing myself through all of the obstacles with support from my team mates, family & friends to keep me going.

From Fenn - I want to support this team in every way possible even if it is from a far now, I love this team and there like family, so if i can’t play for them now I will walk this marathon for them!!
