The Dromod Tidy Towns Group has been very active over the past few months trying to further enhance Dromod and to regain our Tidy Towns Bronze Medal which, unfortunately, we lost in 2023. Lots of new volunteers are helping out and we meet every Saturday morning at the fountain at 10.00 a.m. to plant, weed, paint, sweep, rake and pick up litter around the village. So far this year, we’ve painted all the benches and the garage in the village, we’ve weeded and replanted all the flower beds, completely revamped the Butterfly Garden and the community allotments and picked up bags of litter from around the town. We’ve done so much and we are maintaining all the flower beds around the village on a daily basis. We would like to do more but we are now running out of funds and so, we are appealing to the people who live in, work in or visit Dromod, to help us to continue our work.

We would love to increase our score in the 2024 SuperValu Tidy Towns Competition and are trying so hard to regain our Bronze Medal and to improve and enhance our village. Any support, however small, would be very much appreciated by the Dromod Tidy Towns Group. Please give what you can. Every euro will help and we promise to spend it wisely.
