Driven by Compassion: Foster parents need a car

Introduction:
Saying "no" to a child in need is one of the most heart-wrenching things we've ever had to do. Our home has always been open, our hearts ready to embrace, but sometimes, circumstances force us to make difficult choices. Right now, we're at a crossroads, and we're reaching out to you, dear friends and compassionate souls, to help us keep our family together and invite one more.
Our Story:
We are parents to three amazing siblings who have recently welcomed a new baby brother into our family. Our hearts swell with love for them, and we can't bear the thought of separating them. Our van, which was our lifeline for school runs, doctor appointments, park outings, court hearings, and Sunday church services, recently broke down. On top of that, the pandemic dealt us a heavy blow, causing us to lose our business and jobs. We had to embark on new career paths this year, which came with longer commutes to our full-time jobs in Nashville.
As things stand, we're down to just one Honda CRV, and it simply can't accommodate our growing family. We're in desperate need of a larger vehicle, ideally a Honda Odyssey, that can safely seat at least four car seats. Our dream is to see these children experience the joy of life together, to continue creating precious memories, and to provide them with the stability they so rightfully deserve.
The Bigger Picture:
It's not just about us. We're deeply aware that there are more than 391,000 children in the foster care system, just like our beloved siblings, who yearn for a safe and loving home. By helping us acquire a new vehicle, you're not just assisting our family, but you're contributing to the broader mission of bringing down this staggering number. You're helping us provide a loving home where these siblings can flourish together as we also are emergency respite responders who house nearly a dozen kids during the holiday seasons haha.
Our Humble Request:
We're humbly asking for your support. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in our lives and the lives of these precious children. Together, we can ensure that they don't have to face the trauma of separation and that they have the opportunity to thrive as a family.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for considering helping us in our mission to keep siblings together. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us and will leave a lasting impact on the lives of these children.
With heartfelt gratitude,
