Hi, I’m Jess and I’m fundraising for a very special humanitarian attorney named Allison Cyrus-Walker.

Allison is particularly honorable for a few reasons. But first and forefront, she is fighting for the rights and safety my best friend (that most of you know) and her son in a now 5 year long domestic abuse divorce trial. Refraining from names for safety purposes.

For some scope - Allison was a single mom to three boys while attending university, and underwent a lot of hardship over these years- both financially and dealing with the loss of her children's father.

Allison's hardships impacted her perspective on life and how she wants to live it. To this day she is frugal and sensible and is dedicated to making personal sacrifices to carry out a very honorable and professional mission —

After graduating not so long ago, Allison (along with her now husband) started her own firm, with the humanitarian mission “people over profits” where she offers reduced rates and helpful payment structures for those who cannot afford the traditional law office fee structure, as well as a considerable amount of pro bono work for those are facing tremendous injustice, like my best friend.

Allison has all the skills it takes to be a high-earning attorney. She chose another path.

However, because of her mission, Allison is facing significant hardship on a day-to-day basis. She works nights and weekends all the while prioritizing attending her children’s school plays and sports activities. She is an extremely hard worker and isn't the type to ask for help, nor complain, nor live a life of pretense.

When others are in need, Allison always answers the call and devotes her heart and mind into helping. Especially those in dire need - People who are trapped within the justice system and thus remain entagled with their abuser - People who really have nowhere else to turn - Children.

She and her husband are kind, devoted, responsible, hard working people who listen and care so deeply about others. And most importantly, she is helping and support my dearest friend in a time of great need.

Currently, the couple is down to one unreliable car.
The purpose of this GoFundMe is to offer a bit of support so they can purchase a safe set of wheels.

A reliable car would not only make a tremendous difference in their lives, but in those they are serving. It would help enable them to continue on their mission to make a positive difference in our community and hopefully, serving as an example of how more humanity could find its way back into the justice system.
