Our Studio Needs Your Help!

Drishti dance opened in 2018 in an old high school building. We started out with just 49 dancers, but over the years we've grown to serve over 100 families from nearly a dozen communities!

This past season, the building that housed our beloved studio suffered severe damage from an artic blast and we had to vacate the property immediately. My dancers, being wonderfully resilient, finished the season in the basement of an old theater; and although we completed the season without mirrors, or much space, the fun and laughter remained. I'm also proud to say that last month they performed their end-of-season recital beautifully!

Since our upheaval, I have been looking tirelessly for a new place to either buy, rent, or build so our dance family could remain together without missing a beat. Happily, as of May 20th, we will at last have a new place to call home! There's one slight problem; the facility we've acquired (formerly a dance studio) has been vacant for nearly a decade and has to be completely renovated.

Thanks to the generous donations that we have already received on GoFundMe and at our dance recital, we will be able to update/install the much needed heating and cooling systems, get the bathrooms functioning, as well as get started with new lighting, and painting. In short, we can make this facility "functional".

Making a functional facility and an effective dance studio; however, are two different things. With the loss of our old studio, we will have to replace mirrors, dance floors, and ballet barres. All of which come with their specialty price tags.

I know, given the recession, that I am asking a lot, but I kindly ask you to consider helping our cause. Sure, my dancers have proven to me that they can dance virtually anywhere, but I'm hoping to give them the facility they deserve. Anything helps!
