Financial assistance for local male who detains a suspect

Hi I am the little one in the picture ! I am a working mum living in the street with my two sons where this accident happened . Me and my eldest son detained the passenger of the vehicle and he was arrested when police arrived . He was also in the possession of a bladed article .

I had heard the crash and flew out of my house towards the scene with the thought that someone may be hurt- I was bare foot and the driver got out slurred a few words and bolted down Erin street .

This is so hard because it is my son’s car that was parked up following a long days work and intensive training for up coming Ironman . He will have to make a second claim in a year due to someone else reversing into him whilst his car has been parked up elsewhere . That car was written off . This time this will be on my boys on insurance entirely as there’s little chance the driver will be located . My son is 23 which goes against him due to age - and he’s worked relentlessly to buy the car . I have thought long and hard about this and following getting others options in the community I set up this page . There were another two parked cars also written off / damaged  so if this page could raise enough so they  can also get back on the road without financial worry this will be worth doing . I’m justifying the ask because we take nothing from anyone He’s worked from the moment he left college and he is desperately trying to save to get his own house so he doesn’t have to live in a converted living room and this will then not offset his plans ( just setting the picture ! ) Anyway I will do this and hope that people get where I’m coming from . The offending vehicle was not insured and records not up to date with dvla … so you can guess the outcome of the chance of us getting a penny . If this go fund me exceeds what is needed or the person is found and pays up then this will go to a local charity and that’s a promise . It will also go on social media to acknowledge the generosity  Thankyou again x
