Fundraiser Description
Hello, and Thank you for being here.
This fundraiser is to support the physical setup of the Dreamscape Community Connections, a calm, inclusive community space being developed
The hub is being created to support children, young people, families, and adults who often feel overwhelmed, isolated, or excluded — including neurodivergent people, carers, parents, and those living with long-term health conditions.
The project is currently in the planning and setup phase, with suitable premises actively being explored.
What Is the Dreamscape Community Hub?
The Dreamscape Community Hub is designed to be a low-pressure, non-judgemental space where people of different ages and needs can:
• Connect gently
• Take part in calm, optional activities
• Sit quietly or exist without expectation
• Come and go as they need
Sessions will be age-appropriate, clearly structured, and offered in ways that prioritise safety, accessibility, and comfort.
This project is intentionally small, local, and community-led.
It is not a commercial venture, franchise, or large charity.
Who Is Behind the Project?
Dreamscape Community Connections is being developed by Marybeth Thornhill, founder of Dreamscape Inclusive Solutions.
The project is rooted in lived experience of neurodivergence, chronic illness, and long-term fatigue, and has grown from listening to the needs of individuals and families who often struggle to access traditional community spaces.
This fundraiser is organised by Heather Bradley, who is supporting the setup and administration of the project.
Why This Matters
Many children, young people, and adults — particularly those who are neurodivergent or living with long-term health conditions — struggle to find spaces that feel safe, calm, and accessible.
This hub aims to offer something different:
a place where people are welcome exactly as they are, without pressure to perform, socialise, or explain themselves.
What the Funds Will Be Used For
All funds raised are ring-fenced solely for the setup of the Dreamscape Community Connections and will be used for:
• Initial rent and deposit (once a suitable space is secured)
• Basic furnishings (chairs, tables, soft seating)
• Calm activity and sensory resources suitable for different ages
• Accessibility and comfort items
• Insurance, licenses, and essential setup costs
• Signage and printed community resources
No funds will be used for personal income or wages.
Transparency & Future Plans
The Dreamscape Community Connections is being developed with the intention of becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC) so it exists for community benefit rather than personal profit.
If CIC registration is completed during or after this fundraiser, any remaining funds will be transferred into the CIC account to continue supporting the project.
All spending will be tracked and shared through GoFundMe updates.
