A Young Girl's Journey to Being Great

Hello! My name is Rei Yang. I am a 2027 graduate and I am setting up this GoFund me because in November of 2024 I participated in a volleyball showcase and the program has now invited me to join the their All American volleyball team this summer for a once in a lifetime opportunity to train and compete in Italy.

I have always been very passionate about the sport. I've been playing vollleyball with my school since 7th grade. In the winter I also play club volleyball. I guess you can say, I have about three weeks out of the year during the summer where I'm not training.

Volleyball has given me a sense of confidence, not only on the court but in my everyday life. It's taught me to step outside my comfort zone, even when I'm feeling shy, and most importantly, to embrace the power of kindness and awareness. A team sport isn't just about improving yourself—it's about lifting up your teammates and reminding them of their own strength and greatness.

This fundraiser will help fund the trip to Italy. I’m incredibly grateful for your support in helping me take a step closer to my dream of playing internationally.
