Dr. Stephen P. Grady Dental Clinic

In April 2019, my dad, Stephen, and his best friend, Jimmy,  were killed in a plane crash on their way to the University of Notre Dame. Losing my dad so suddenly has made me realize the importance of life and how short it is. The biggest lesson my dad taught me growing up was to earn a skill in life that helps others and to always give back to the community in any way that I could. My dad was one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met. He worked 3 jobs to support his family, primarily as a dentist. This was a man who never cared about the paycheck or living an extravagant life; the only thing that mattered to him was changing the lives of everyone around him and giving back to the community that made him the man he was. There was nothing he loved more than missionary work and helping people less fortunate than him. So this November, I will be traveling back to my dad's dental clinic in Sanchez, Dominican Republic that has been sponsored by Harrisburg, West Shore, Wellsboro, Sanchez (D.R.), and Santa Barbara (D.R.) Rotaries. Because of this dental clinic, over 10,000 individuals have received medical attention where free health care is provided to those cannot afford it. This year, the clinic is in need of additional portable dental chairs, updated equipment, and funds to maintain electricity. It has been my mission since losing my dad in April 2019 to uphold his legacy and everything he cared about.
