Help us raise money for Dr. Christopher Compeau's retirement gift!

As you know,Dr. Compeau has decided to retire from St. Joseph's Hospital on July 1, 2020. 

Dr. Compeau has been an invaluable asset and has devoted his entire professional life in service to St. Joseph's Hospital. He has served in honour and distinction as both the Division Head for General and Thoracic Surgery and lately as our Surgeon in Chief. His accomplishments are too numerous to list, and he will be sincerely missed. 

As many of you know, Chris has discovered a true passion for the rural life, and is planning on retiring to his Farm in Prince Edward County. He has developed a passion for farming and beekeeping, and has recently expressed a desire to raise and harvest fruit trees. 

The Division of Thoracic Surgery has decided to raise money to purchase a memorial orchard on his farm. So that every time he walks through these trees, enjoys ahomemade apple pie, or sits in the shade, he will be reminded of his life and works at St. Joseph's Hospital. 

This money is being used to raise enough money for around 70-80 trees. You will not only be helping the environment, but you will be contributing to a lifelong gift that will be remembered for generations to come! 

We plan on placing a plaque at the front of the orchard reading: 
“This fruit orchard was donated by the grateful staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and his colleagues at the University of Toronto to Dr. Christopher Compeau on the occasion of his retirement, July 1, 2020”.


The deadline for contributing will be June 28, 2020. We would be profoundly grateful for any donation that you can offer. Help us reach our goal for our St. Joseph's Hospital Orchard!
