Dr. Charles Barber Hall of Fame Sign Fund
Donation protected
Dr. Charles Barber, a 1992 graduate of Bald Knob High School and noted community leader, was inducted into the Arkansas Track and Field Hall of Fame in June 2022.
Following his athletic career at BKHS, Charles competed for Ouachita Baptist University and the U.S. Army. He still holds the distinction of fastest man in the army and holds records at the competitive high school, college, and military levels.
To honor Charles and his devotion to and promotion of the community of Bald Knob, family and friends have joined forces to install a "home of Dr. Charles Barber" sign detailing his accomplishments next to the "Welcome to Bald Knob" sign between the two northbound Bald Knob exits off Highway 67.
Sign design, installation, and fundraising headed by Vince Vire and Owen Roberts.
