It Takes a Village...

I am a domestic violence survivor. My daughter’s father has repeatedly abused me physically in front of our daughter and was convicted of domestic violence assault against me last year for pinning me down and squeezing my neck so violently that he left bruising while screaming that he would kill me.

I did the wrong thing by going back to him twice for multiple reasons. I still blindly loved him, I believed he was making a sincere effort to change, I wanted my daughter to have us both in one home, and the biggest one of all: because I struggle financially to support her as a single mom on an Esthetian’s pay  in an expensive city.

I am now 100% done with him and have taken him to court for child support and a parenting plan. He had money to hire a lawyer yet hasn’t given me a penny in child support for months. I cannot come anywhere close to affording one and I’m attempting to represent myself. Recently the judge ruled that he will have to pay temporary child support in the amount of $400 until a permanent parenting plan is decided upon at the end of this year. This will help out tremendously but it will be several weeks until DCS processes the first payment. 

In the meantime I am asking for help because of the amount of debt I have accrued while trying to do the right thing by keeping her away from him in the month of October until the court could rule on a temporary parenting plan. 

I will use the money to buy groceries, pay my overdue car payment, pay my overdue electric bill, pay November’s rent, pay for childcare so I can work and keep my job. This way I can keep my head above water financially and be on the right track again when I finally begin receiving monthly child support from him.Anything helps! Thanks for your time!❤️
