I am currently going through a divorce after nearly 20 years of marriage, and I am seeking help with immediate court-related expenses.

I recently started a new job and am rebuilding financially after a period of instability earlier this year. The court has ordered the use of a Child and Family Investigator (CFI), a neutral third party who evaluates both households. My required portion of the retainer is $1,625, and the judge has given me until January 1st to pay it.

If I am unable to cover this cost, the investigation may proceed without my participation, which would significantly impact my ability to move forward fairly in this process.
