We’re taking on the Kiltwalk for Downs Connection Theatre Group!
This year, members and supporters of Downs Connection are taking big steps for the big stage by taking part in the Kiltwalk to raise funds for our next production - Scotland Is A Place Called Home.
Across both Saturday and Sunday, our team will be taking on The Wee Wander, The Big Stroll and the Mighty Stride - walking mile after mile with one shared goal: to support our incredible performers and help them shine on stage.
Downs Connection Theatre Group is an inclusive theatre group for people with Down syndrome and their families, aged 5 plus. Our shows celebrate individuality, confidence, and being unapologetically yourself. Theatre offers our members far more than performance, it builds friendships, self-belief, communication skills, and a strong sense of belonging.
The funds raised through the Kiltwalk will go directly towards:
Costumes for this year’s show
Purchasing our own microphones, improving sound quality and accessibility for our performers
Supporting the ongoing delivery of high-quality, inclusive theatre opportunities
Every step taken, whether it’s the Wee Wander or the Mighty Stride, helps give our performers a louder voice, greater confidence, and a truly professional theatre experience.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean the world to us and to everyone involved in Downs Connection Theatre Group. Thank you for supporting inclusive theatre and walking alongside us in spirit ✨
