Bad Things Happen to Good People

Donation protected
Some times, bad things happen to good people, and when a couple bad things happen in close succession, it can be devastating., and this is what has happened to David C., his wife Nicole, and their three children, James, Noah, and baby girl, Nancy. As of today, David and his family are homeless and living paycheck-to-paycheck, when they can find work. They are taking whatever work they can, and while both parents struggle to find new jobs, they continue to sink deeper into debt and despair. They need help, now.

Sadly, David and Nicole’s story is not unique. Comcast recently laid off Nicole, and a short time later, David’s employer laid him off as well. Undeterred, the couple juggled the demands of interviews with finding new work, but that was not enough to slow down their downward spiral. Soon the couple could not afford their apartment. They lost their second car, and the couple soon had to manage all their demands with just one car. Running out of viable options, David began to reach out to passersby asking for any help (i.e., money) they could spare. That is where I came into the scene, and I told David that I would help him as best I could. However, I understand that I cannot do it alone, and I need help as well.

To that end, funds collected through GoFundMe will contribute directly to helping David and Nicole secure a roof over their heads and food on their plate. I have taken a personal interest in helping David and his family, and I would appreciate any help that you can offer.

For me, David and Nicole’s predicament struck a chord. I talked with David. I asked questions, and he shared how one event negatively impacted another until there was a chain that pulled them down each day. Helping David and his family isn’t something that is going to solve world hunger. It is not something that the Federal government can hang its hat on, and it is not something that will usher in world peace. It is, rather, something that directly and poignantly affects hard working people and their children.

Last, I am not prone to ask people for money. I have never done this before. However, David’s situation struck a chord with me, and I want to do what I can to help him and his family. To that end, if you can find it in your heart, please take a moment and contribute to the fund that I’ve set up for David, Nicole, and their children.

Right now we have a possible lead on a job for David, but it might not pan out. Even if a job does come in, David will have immediate expenses and his pay may not start right away, which is why we feel compelled to ask for financial help. So, In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for helping David and Nicole secure long term employment, please don’t hesitate to give me a call. I can follow up with each lead as it comes in.

Thanks again for taking the time to hear this story and help me help David, Nicole, James, Noah, and Nancy get back on their feet.
