Ms. Doris is known to everyone who shops at the Fernandina Beach WD.  She has been homeless for many years and now has the opportunity to get into an apartment near the store. We are trying to raise money so she can pay her deposit on the apartment as well as water and electricity. She has been waiting a long time to get this apartment and we do not want her to lose her opportunity. In addition, she does not have any furniture or household goods, and we are trying to get some basics for her home. 

Ms. Doris will also be having her middle-school aged  grandson live with her; he is currently living with friends given her situation. He has never had a bedroom of his own. This will be the first real home this family has together.
