No New Town in the South Downs.

Eton College and its partners plan to build a new town of up to 3,000 homes in beautiful open countryside right on the edge of the South Downs National Park in East Sussex. It’s a huge and totally inappropriate scheme in a tranquil and nature-rich area. The scheme will destroy precious wildlife habitats and devastate a deeply rural area bordered by three tiny villages.

The South Downs National Park is a Dark Skies reserve and part of a designated UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Once this stunning landscape is destroyed, it’s gone forever.
