My name is Amanda and I'm starting this for my mother, Donna. On March 3rd, around 10:30 pm, her life changed. She was in her living room on the phone with my aunt, her sister, when she dropped her phone. All my aunt heard was a loud crash and my mom yelling for help. Eventually, the neighbor heard and came over, picked up my mom's phone, and told my aunt what happened to my sister. A 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into my mom's mobile home, took out the light pole, and plowed through her living room and bedroom. The guy took off on foot but was eventually caught. He was drunk, eating, and driving at high speeds. Code enforcement came to her residence today and deemed her house unlivable. My mom has nowhere to go and is on social security. I'm trying to help her raise some money to get her a place to live. She is still in the hospital, and her story has been on news stories on Facebook.
Here is the story:
CAR CRASHES INTO MOBILE HOME: A mobile home in Zephyrhills sustained significant damage Monday night after a vehicle crashed into it, leaving a resident injured.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:40 PM on March 3, 2025, in the 37900 block of Wideview Lane. Zephyrhills Police Department officers responding to the scene found that a vehicle had collided with a mobile home, causing substantial damage. A 64-year-old woman inside the residence suffered injuries as a result of the impact.
Emergency responders transported the injured woman to Lakeland Regional Hospital, where she was admitted and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
Following the crash, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 36-year-old Kyle Jarrod Youngblood, fled the scene on foot. Police initiated a search and apprehended Youngblood a short time later near the intersection of Lane Road and Lea Avenue.
Youngblood now faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and reckless driving. Authorities have also stated that a DUI investigation is underway.
If anyone could help, we would be greatly appreciated.
