Donna's Journey to Healing and Mobility
Donation protected
On Friday, March 28th, I got a phone call I never expected. My mom, Donna, had been in a severe car accident and was in the hospital. I quickly drove the 2 and a half hours to the hospital, where, after seeing pictures of her truck, was just so thankful she was alive. That truck (lovingly named Loretta) saved my mom’s life. It was understood almost immediately that the truck would be a total loss, and this was confirmed by the insurance inspector. I’m hoping that the beautiful people my mom has come to know and love might be able to lend a hand in helping her get a new truck, as she is the primary adult in the household who drives… needing to get Eva to and from, as well as all her needs and appointments as well. Medical costs are also on our radar, with surgery to correct her fractures still being an unknown looming in the distance.
Donna is one of the most loving, beautiful, kind people I have the privilege of knowing, and that’s not just because she’s my mom. Everyone who knows her knows how hard she works and how much she does for everyone around her, and I hope that at this time, we can rally around HER.
