As many of you know, Donna had a heart attack about a week ago. She needed to have two angioplasties. She was sent home from one hospital only to be taken to another hospital in the middle of the night, just hours after coming home. There she needed to have a third angioplasty. Everything seemed to be going well. She was up and joking like her regular self. That night, her heart went into an irregular rhythm twice and she needed to be shocked back into rhythm both times. She is currently on a breathing tube to protect her airway in the cardiac ICU. We are hoping for her to have a complete recovery. However, we worry that the road will be long. She will likely be out of work for some time.
Anyone who knows Donna knows that she is a hard worker. She works two jobs just to make ends meet. She has never complained, just doing what she needs to do. Her second job is working for a home care company, where she helps people who can't do for themselves. Now it looks like she may need the same care.
Donna is an amazing friend who will always be there for you. When I had surgery a few years ago, she came to my house to bring me meals and help me with housework. Now is our time to give back. I don't want her to stress that she won't be able to pay her bills and try to rush back to work. Anything you can donate will help.
Thank you,
Linda
