In the Memory of Pat Telfer

Our lovely mum Pat Telfer sadly passed away on the 23rd of June. Her funeral will be held at All Saints Church, Blackwell, Darlington DL3 8DT at 1:15pm on Thursday 11th July.

Mum was a pillar of the community to the end, always putting others first. An important part of her life was volunteering for the Friends of the Darlington Memorial Hospital, with her last shift in their fundraising shop just 3 days before she died.

This award-winning charity have volunteer drivers who ensure that the folks of Darlington and Bishop Auckland can get to their hospital appointments on time. Mum was cared for by the staff of the Memorial, who told us how valuable this free service is not only to those who have appointments, but also to the smooth running of the hospital. As a small, local organisation, every penny really does help.
