Donations for Turkish Earthquake Relief Efforts

Hello, we are Stephanie and Eray and we have a family home in Istanbul, Turkey. Although the earthquake occurred 700 miles away from our city, we have seen the devastation and destruction firsthand through Eray's family who lives in Elbistan, Turkey - part of the epicenter of the earthquake. We are beyond fortunate that all of our aunts, uncles, and cousins escaped from the wreckage. For so many others, it is a race against time to save people in collapsed buildings, and we are all heartbroken by this reality and the rising deathtoll.

So many of our American friends and family have reached out asking how they can help with this natural disaster. We are so grateful for this concern which is why we have set up this GoFundMe page to accept donations on behalf of the Turkish people and communities impacted by the earthquake. On Tuesday 2/8, Eray's parents left their hometown of Ankara with their construction trucks, filled with food and materials to bring down to Southern Turkey. Once they arrive and communicate with the locals and our family down there, we will know the best organization and people to whom we will directly give your donations. We will keep everyone updated on where your donations are going. Being so close to the source, we have every confidence that those Turks who need monetary support the most will be the recipients.
