Hi, I'm Elena Fugazzola, and I have been volunteering in Arusha, Tanzania for the WEHAF foundation, which empowers widows and single women to become financially independent and provide for themselves and their families.

A large part of this is in order to raise their children with the best possible chances of also escaping the cycles of debt and poverty largely through providing them with the opportunity to receive a good education.

When reflecting on the importance of this, I realised that I am grateful for many things in my life, but perhaps one of the most significant privileges I have had has been to receive such a wonderful education.

This project has been incredibly valuable to me, and I have truly treasured my time here doing whatever I can to help the local community. However, what I have truly understood is that as important as the help can be from the volunteers in person, any and all donations are really what make a difference in the long term.

So, I would truly appreciate it if you could take 5 minutes of your time to make a contribution (no matter of what size) to this organisation in order to allow for as many children as possible to have the opportunity to recieve an education. With this money, we will pay for stationary, tuition, uniforms, security, and school lunches for them. Ensuring they can learn in a healthy, safe environment.

As a reference 50€ would cover all the school supplies and uniform for a child and I would be able to go buy this myself on Friday.

90€ covers all tuition, food and supplies for 6 months of school of a child.

And 180€ covers a whole year anything school related for the child.
