Support Student Transportation at EJs Warrior Karate Academy

Warriors Karate Academy, Inc is many things to the youth of Columbus, Ohio. Known as a Dojo, "EJs Warrior Karate Academy", not only teaches daily karate, but provides Day Camps each summer, a full overnight camp at a Camp Site, and other programs including films such as newly released, "Science with Khalif", National and international karate competitions for youth. Transportation is provided, by "The Warrior Van" for up to 14 youth.

However, for our 15 students competing in Summer 2024 AAU Karate Nationals in Florida and USA Karate Nationals in Louisiana, space in the Van was at capacity with students. In order to fit equipment and staff, we also drove another vehicle from Columbus, Ohio to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Lafayette, Louisiana and back to Ohio-traveling over 3,100 miles very tightly snug. While grateful for the Warrior van, it became obvious it would require space for the trip in the future with our fast-growing team.

These services and benefits are not cheap, and many youths are underfunded. While we have been fortunate enough the past three years to provide most funding through Ohio ACE, and local summer grants, those programs have expired. Leaving many youths who have achieved great goals, without funding to continue training or even start our services due to lack of transportation.

Recently we added a 24 passenger Bus, which we call, "The Warrior Bus", from Greater Glory Ministries to support the growing number of students needing transportation to and from the dojo for karate classes, field trips for our camps and programs, and transportation to competitions across the United States. We are asking for your help with cost to partially wrap/or label the bus, provide wi-fi, and fund youth by providing scholarships for transportation fees for eligible youth in need.
