BC's First SeaBin - SSW

We are a non-profit environmental organization called Sumi Saves Wildlife.
Currently, our goal is to install a SeaBin in the Sea to Sky corridor. The SeaBin is a floating garbage bin. The SeaBin works by sucking water in from the surface and pushing it through the catch bag inside the SeaBin. Water is then pumped back out leaving the debris and litter in the catch bag. It also has the potential to collect oils and microplastics up to 2mm. It costs less than $1 a day for electricity and is said to capture 680 kgs of debris a year. The SeaBin itself is made of %100 recycled plastic.
The price for one unit is seven thousand dollars. There are seven hundred and nineteen SeaBins globally. Our SeaBin will be BC’s first SeaBin and Canada’s second.
We are working with Squamish Yacht Club and Mosquito Creek Marina to install your SeaBin, but we need YOUR help.

Be part of the future of the environment. Donate now to change the world.
