Giving Back Where It Matters Most

This week, Lucas Construction had the honor of building a safe, sturdy wheelchair ramp for a wonderful woman in our community who was in need. Accessibility should never be a luxury, and when we heard her story, we knew we had to step in.

Our team designed and built this ramp to the same standards we hold for every project—strong framing, secure handrails, weather protection, and a clean finish—so she can now enter and exit her home safely and confidently.

We did this free of charge because sometimes it’s not about business—it’s about people. It’s about neighbors helping neighbors, lending a hand where it’s needed most, and making sure everyone has the dignity of safe access to their own home.

At Lucas Construction, we believe that real success isn’t just measured in projects completed, but in lives impacted.

An electric wheelchair would be life-changing. It would give Cynthia. Vornlocker the independence to attend medical appointments, spend more time outdoors, and enjoy everyday life with dignity and freedom. Unfortunately, the cost of an electric wheelchair is far beyond what we can manage alone.
