Help Freedom Gathering Put a New Van on the Road

For more than 12 years, Freedom Gathering has gone directly into our communities to serve people who are hungry, homeless, struggling financially, or simply in need of a helping hand.

Every week, our volunteers load up food, water, clothing, supplies and other necessities and take them where they are needed most. We serve throughout Bradenton, Sarasota, Arcadia and surrounding communities, reaching hundreds of people each week—including families, seniors and people experiencing homelessness.

For Freedom Gathering, the van isn’t simply transportation. It is part of the ministry.

Our current van is approximately 12 years old and has spent years carrying food, supplies and equipment from one outreach location to another. After many miles and thousands of dollars in repairs, it has reached the point where we need to replace it with a dependable vehicle that can continue doing this work for years to come.

A new van will cost approximately $70,000.

That is a big number, but we also know that many people giving what they can can accomplish something extraordinary.

Freedom Gathering has always been blessed by people who give—not only financially, but through donated food, supplies, time and countless hours of volunteer service. Our founder, Tonia Johnson, is in the field six days a week, alongside a dedicated group of volunteers who help prepare, transport and distribute what is needed.

The photographs on this page show what your gift supports.

This is not a van that will sit in a parking lot. It will work.

It will carry food. It will carry water. It will carry supplies. And most importantly, it will help us continue reaching people who need to know that someone sees them, cares about them and has not forgotten them.

Our goal is to raise $70,000 for a new van so Freedom Gathering can continue this work reliably for many years ahead.

If you are able to give, we are deeply grateful. If you cannot give financially, sharing this campaign with your family, friends, church, business or community would mean just as much.

Every gift. Every share. Every prayer. It all helps keep Freedom Gathering moving.

Thank you for helping us continue to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community.
