For 6 years since I moved to Dallas, TX from Buffalo, NY, I fly home every year and run 17 miles from Hertel Ave to Highmark Stadium for the home opener to fundraise for a charity or non-profit with Buffalo community roots. I fundraised for multiple non-profits, but it wasn't until my last run in the ice and snow for the Kansas City playoff game that I met the amazing people over at Wings Flights of Hope. Not only are they doing incredible work for those in need, but they're amazing people with hearts of gold and they're a huge pillar of the Buffalo community on game days!

As an ex-pat of Buffalo currently living in Texas, it's a way for me to stay connected to the best city on the planet while doing good for the community and having fun while doing it.

In the past, we've fundraised:

--> $1,200 for FeedMore WNY; a food pantry that greatly helped the families of the victims of the terrible Tops tragedy

--> $1,000+ for Wings Flights of Hope

--> $600 for Team NEGU, an organization whose motto states "Encouraging kids fighting cancer to NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!!"

For this run, I'll be fundraising for Wings Flights of Hope: a non-profit organization helping people in need of free air transportation for medical and humanitarian purposes. They're located DIRECTLY behind the stadium, and supported me for my run in September so it's time to give back!

Wings Flights of Hope Inc. is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization which offers FREE air transportation to any person, any age, in need of medical attention. Wings Flights of Hope volunteer pilots donate their time, plane and all expenses. Wings offers FREE medical flights for passengers in need of treatments, surgery, check-ups, transplants, etc., Wings volunteer pilots are available 24-7 for transplant calls, when every minute counts.
