Culebra, a small, breathtaking island off the coast of Puerto Rico, is often known for its stunning beaches and tranquil beauty. But behind the postcard-perfect scenery lies a community of resilient people struggling to meet their most basic needs. Isolated from the mainland, the families and children of Culebra face unique challenges: limited access to necessities, scarce opportunities, and a lack of resources that many of us take for granted.

This April, we are coming together with the locals of Culebra to create something truly special: a weekend of hope, connection, and support for the children and families who need it most. On April 29th, we are hosting a Community Empowerment Event that will provide essential supplies to those in need and offer a series of enriching workshops for kids and parents alike.

Imagine a child’s face lighting up as they receive their first brand-new backpack, or a parent sighing with relief because they no longer have to worry about where their family’s next meal will come from. Picture a group of children sitting together, laughing and learning, surrounded by a community that cares deeply for them.

This event isn’t just about giving—it’s about empowering. With your help, we can provide families with vital necessities and create opportunities for them to learn, grow, and thrive together.

Llevando Esperanza a Culebra: Una Comunidad en Necesidad

Culebra, una pequeña y hermosa isla frente a la costa de Puerto Rico, es conocida por sus impresionantes playas y su tranquila belleza. Pero detrás de ese paisaje de postal se encuentra una comunidad de personas resilientes que luchan por satisfacer sus necesidades más básicas. Aisladas del continente, las familias y los niños de Culebra enfrentan desafíos únicos: acceso limitado a lo esencial, pocas oportunidades y una falta de recursos que muchos de nosotros damos por sentado.

Este abril, nos uniremos con los habitantes de Culebra para crear algo verdaderamente especial: un fin de semana de esperanza, conexión y apoyo para los niños y las familias que más lo necesitan. El 29 de abril, organizaremos un Encuentro Comunitario para el Empoderamiento, donde entregaremos suministros esenciales a quienes los necesiten y ofreceremos una serie de talleres enriquecedores para niños y padres por igual.

Imagina el rostro de un niño iluminándose al recibir su primera mochila nueva, o a un padre suspirando aliviado porque ya no tendrá que preocuparse por de dónde vendrá la próxima comida de su familia. Imagina a un grupo de niños sentados juntos, riendo y aprendiendo, rodeados de una comunidad que se preocupa profundamente por ellos.

Este evento no se trata solo de dar, se trata de empoderar. Con tu ayuda, podemos proporcionar a las familias lo esencial para vivir y crear oportunidades para que aprendan, crezcan y prosperen juntos.
