Donate to Transform Lives at Third Culture Kamp

Hey everyone!

We are Ian and Celina Martin, and we are calling on your help once again to support Third Culture Kids (TCKs) through our unique ministry, Third Culture Kamp.

Third Culture Kamp is a one-week Christian summer camp in the Czech Republic designed specifically for "TCKs": a young person who has grown up outside of their parents' home culture, often feeling like they don't fully belong in either their host nation or their parents' nation. Most missionary and military kids identify with this experience and have no idea where they "belong." As a TCK myself, I deeply resonate with their unique challenges and needs. It's a joy and honor to serve them.

At camp, these kids experience God's love, build deep friendships with others who understand their unique background, and find a sense of belonging and identity. This camp is unique in its focus on TCKs, providing a rare opportunity for these young people to connect with others who share their experiences. The result is life-changing.

For 13 years, we’ve seen this camp transform lives, and this year, our three daughters will join us, along with a dedicated team of volunteers from our congregation, NC4, as well as several other churches. We don’t pass on the costs to the campers because we want to make the camp accessible for all families–especially missionaries. This camp is a way to bless the church and missionary families across Europe, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, and make an impact for the gospel as we bless the families who have dedicated their lives to these nations.

Moreover, this is a way for you to support the work of missions in one of the most atheistic nations in the world. Your donation will help us share the love of Christ in a place where it is greatly needed.

While our church, NC4, is generously covering my and Celina's costs as leaders, we simply can't run this camp without bringing our three little ones–ages 7, 3, and 1 month–with us. So we're raising money to help cover the remaining travel expenses for our family to go. Your donation, big or small, will make a huge difference to us.

This is truly a team effort for me and Celina. We as a couple organize from abroad and lead the whole camp, along with 40 counselors and more than 120 kids. This year, in addition, we are planning and facilitating a new young adults retreat prior to the larger camp. This will serve to train young adult counselors for the camp and provide a bridge for teenagers who have aged out of camp.
