After years of working to improve their situation, Tiffany, along with her two children, made the wise and courageous decision to leave their abuser.

However, because everything—home, finances, and legal ties— is in the abuser’s name and ownership, they fell into a gap in the system.

Many domestic violence resources including housing programs and family services are not structured to support women as in their family's position. These are complex realities that they are presently facing.

Mental and emotional abuse may not have physical scars, but the wounds are just as real and heal much slower.
