Hello, my name is Thomas German, and I am the senior patrol leader for Troop 156 in Flanders, NJ. I am raising funds for my Eagle Scout Project. My project involves the Mount Olive Food Pantry. The way the food pantry works is that people call in and fill out a sheet of necessary food items; they get a limited amount, but it also depends on how many people are in their household, as well as income and mobility. Most of the time, this food gets delivered because most of the people who order from the food pantry cannot leave the house or are on a fixed income. However, every now and again, when people come in, they can take food and supplies from the excess food cart. They are also receiving an influx of used books, both from local libraries and people, so they are asking me to build a cart to make it easy to store these items, and make it easier for people to grab what they need from it when they are at the pantry.
