Donate to The Care Closet: No Child Hungry
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Angie — a mom, a community organizer, and the founder of The Care Closet, a small but mighty nonprofit serving low-income and homeless students in Lake County, Florida.
For the last two years, I’ve quietly funded this mission out of my own pocket — using birthday money, bonuses, selling items, and doing whatever it took to make sure kids had food to bring home. But now the need has grown, and I need your help to keep it going.
The Care Closet provides food bags, emergency groceries, and essentials to children and families in need — all distributed anonymously through our local school to protect their dignity.
Thanks to the support of donors and amazing partners like Kroger, we’ve grown like never before. But to keep feeding our current families through the entire school year, and cover basic operating expenses (like shelving, supplies, and emergency grocery runs)…
We’re raising $5,800 to fund our 2025 school-year program.
This covers:
Food support for every enrolled family (through May 2026)
Operating needs like storage unit rent, shelves, bins, and food bags
Supplies for outreach, delivery, and expansion to more local schools
I don’t take a paycheck. There’s no admin overhead. Every cent goes back to the kids.
If you believe no child should go to bed hungry, please give what you can. And if you can’t donate right now, please share this link with someone who can. Together, we’re making sure no child falls through the cracks.
With love and deep gratitude,
