Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, more than 8 million people are believed to have left their homes for neighboring countries. Over 3 million Ukrainian refugees are now in Poland, where the government has recently implemented new immigration measures for Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war.

 

On May 23rd, I am leaving Canada and traveling to Poland, where I'll be volunteering for about 4 weeks. I've connected with multiple organizations in Warsaw and Dorohusk (on the Ukrainian/Polish border) and will be assisting with translation, childcare, assembling donations and emergency relief. 

 

All the funds raised will be going towards supplies for one of the following organizations - which are all doing amazing work in helping displaced Ukrainian people with both immediate and long term support.
