Hi, I am Gordon Murphy. I had thought that taking land and people by force was a thing of the past. I believed such invasions were a relic of history—until now. Like many others, I have been searching for a way to help beyond my donations. Ukraine Focus and the American Ambulance Corps ticked all of my boxes.
I became involved with Ukraine Focus and their American Ambulance Corps through a friend, Connor O’Brien. After college, Connor served in Ukraine with the Peace Corps. This past May, Connor volunteered to participate in Mission 13 of the American Ambulance Corps, delivering 15 ambulances from Belgium to Kyiv, Ukraine. Connor’s Mission 13 story stuck with me, and I realized that it was something I could do to help Ukraine.
Ukraine Focus was established by Brock Bierman to help Ukraine in this time of conflict. Ukraine Focus manages five programs, of which the American Ambulance Corps is one of the five programs. The first delivery of ambulances was run in 2023, and since then, they have delivered 400 ambulances to Ukraine.
I have signed up to be a driver for Mission 15 in early October. We expect to deliver 50 ambulances from France to Kyiv. As a volunteer, I will drive for eight days and pay for all my travel, food, and lodging in addition to the fuel for the ambulance that I deliver. My personal goal is to raise $25,000 for the sole purpose of purchasing ambulances. Every dollar I raise will be matched by a private organization up to $5,000 to amplify all of our support. All funds I help raise for the American Ambulance Corps’ Mission 15 will be used to purchase ambulances.
Please consider donating and/or sharing this campaign. Every contribution helps save lives. Ukraine Focus (the American Ambulance Corps) is a US 501c3 organization based in Virginia. Ukraine Focus has achieved a platinum transparency medal from Candid.
