Donate to Support Oasis-A Haven for Women and Kids

Hi everyone,

Our names are Dylan Lozano and Melanie Rojas, and we are the founders of Latinos Heal, a community initiative focused on closing the medical health disparity gap by addressing one of the most basic, but critical, needs: access to personal hygiene.

We are currently working with Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children, a social services organization in Paterson, New Jersey, that supports women, children, and families in various different ways. From women’s empowerment programs to domestic violence counseling, ESL classes, job training, childcare centers, and more, Oasis offers those in need the resources and hope they need to build better lives.

Naturally, Oasis cannot do it alone, and that’s where we come in.

Many of the individuals Oasis services struggle with daily necessities that many of us take for granted. One of the most overlooked, yet significant needs in their lives is personal hygiene. When people don’t have access to necessities such as toothpaste, soap, deodorant, or menstrual products, it puts their health at risk and therefore adds another layer of difficulty to already challenging circumstances.

For this reason, we have decided to launch this fundraiser. Our goal is to gain as many donations as possible and to use these funds to directly benefit the families served by Oasis. But our main focus is hygiene, because staying clean isn’t just about comfort; it’s about dignity, health, and prevention.

We are asking for your help, whether it's through a donation or by simply sharing this fundraiser. Every dollar raised will go toward purchasing new hygiene items for distribution to Oasis families, ensuring they have access to what they need to live healthier, safer lives.

Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate than us. Help us empower families in Paterson with the most basic tools for wellness, and help close the health gap, one donation at a time.
