Hey there everyone! Nevaeh’s momma here! I would like to extend my gratitude towards all who have been apart of my sweet baby’s life and all the support we’ve been given over the past year. Last time we set up one of these, my precious Nevaeh and I were at CHOP for the first month or so of her life as we were navigating the beginning of her life living with a congenital heart defect called HLHS. Miss Nevaeh underwent an open heart surgery (number one) just days after birth! After her surgery, there were a ton of obstacles she needed to overcome come before coming home. Which, praise God, she did!
After coming home, Nevaeh excelled for quite some time until a series of unfortunate events. In August of 2024, my sweet angel had a stroke and focal seizures at home. We rushed her to the hospital, they did a bunch of tests, labs, an EEG, echocardiogram, xray and determined it was best to keep her until she underwent her SECOND open heart surgery. Again, our faith and strength was tested. Fortunately for us, God had his hands on her the whole time and she came home quickly after! SHE IS SO MIGHTY AND GOD IS SO GOOD!
Nevaeh has been doing so incredibly well after everything.
Now, we’ve had an unexpected surgery added to our life to repair a valve in her heart on SEPTEMBER 12 2025. Her tricuspid valve has been leaky since birth. But with great help from Hershey Medical, we’ve been able to keep close eyes on this valve. Up until this point it hasn’t been a concern. Recently Hershey had a conference meeting about these HLHS babies and have decided to prolong the wait on the very last surgery she'll have until she’s about 4yrs of age. With that being said, it is of urgent concern that we repair this valve so that she may continue living her best life before the last surgery.
As a single mother of two beautiful children (Nevaeh and her big brother Aidan), I’m sure you can just imagine all the stress that comes with another open heart surgery. Time off from work, running back and forth from the hospital, setting up care for her brother, meal plans, all while maintaining a household. I have needed to take more time off of work to get her to appointments, run tests, unexpected illnesses etc.
There have been multiple reschedules and as a hairstylist, I’ve also needed to move people around pretty frequently to prepare ourselves for the upcoming surgery. Unfortunately, that has caused a bit of a financial distress for our household.
I would kindly ask that if you cannot donate, please do not be discouraged. Lift our family up in prayer, ask our Father in heaven to provide, ask that he protect her during and after surgery, send a kind note, share this page. Whatever you feel called to do, know that we are sincerely grateful for any and all support. No matter what kind.
Thank you for reading and may God bless you and your families as he has done for mine. ✝️
