Donate to support my son's (Darius) legacy

Dear family & friends,

I stand before you today as a father who has experienced profound loss, but who is also determined to bring about positive change. My son unexpectedly transitioned on July 1, 2023 and has deeply impacted not only me, but his entire family & friends as well. Personally, if I said I was okay, I would be lying to you! The pain of not having my son (Darius) present in my life is taking a toll on my life. I’m completely distraught and have lost every care in the world to do anything. I want my son back! However, I woke up this morning determined not to let my son’s legacy end at just 22 years of age and need do something in his honor.

With that said, my goal is to create and actively sustain a foundation to honor my son, called PROJECT 53 Foundation. The mission of the PROJECT 53 Foundation is to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment within Black and Brown communities that face systemic barriers. We are driven by the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

PROJECT 53 Foundation is a hybrid accelerated program designed to strengthen, energize, and support young adults to are having challenges transitioning with this gift called LIFE.. We provide counseling sessions and empower them in various areas such as Tech, Fin-Tech, E-Sports, Education, Healthcare, Social Justice, and Sustainability through entrepreneurship opportunities. By addressing both mental health and economic empowerment, we equip our young adults with the tools they need to navigate life's challenges and create a brighter future.

However, we cannot achieve our mission alone. We urgently require your SUPPORT to provide the necessary infrastructure, grants, curriculum, education, mentorship programs, scholarships, internships, access, and career opportunities that will enable us to deliver on our promises to our target audience.

By doing so, we not only improve diversity, equity, and inclusion, but also contribute to the achievement of corporate social responsibility goals and objectives.

Moreover, your support enables us to build sustainable networks and communities for those young adults in our program that are interested in going to a trade school and/or college, specifically, HBCU’s. Together, we create a measurable pipeline for diverse and qualified talent, nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. Through our innovative programs and events, we have the power to reach a broad range of consumers who drive culture and trends.
