My name is Anthony J. Taylor — a proud Gen Z Texan — and I’m running to become the next President of the Texas Young Democrats.

We are living through a defining moment for our generation. Across Texas, young people are energized, but too often feel left out and left behind. We’ve come of age in a state where books are being banned, DEI programs dismantled, and students live in fear of mass school shootings. We’ve survived a global pandemic, endured a worsening mental health crisis, and inherited a climate emergency — all while navigating a political system that feels increasingly out of touch, and with fewer rights than our parents and grandparents.

That’s why I’m running — to Build the Bench.

Young people are ready to lead. We’re organizing in our communities, speaking truth to power, and getting it out of the mud. We’re tired of the same old politics — and we’re ready to transform Texas.

If elected, here’s how I’ll Build Our Bench:

Recruit and engage young Democrats statewide

Conduct political trainings and leadership development

Support local TYD chapters and grassroots organizing

Fundraise to provide critical financial support

Expand digital outreach and sharpen strategic messaging

Build coalitions and reach underserved communities across Texas

But this campaign isn’t just about me. It’s about you — your voice, leadership, and role in shaping our state and party's future.
