Every week, families in our community face hunger, fear, and instability — not because they’ve done anything wrong, but because they are experiencing crisis situations or struggling to make ends meet.

La Mano Extendida is a nonprofit grassroots initiative created to support low-income families and individuals facing hardship with dignity, discretion, and direct care. We are a registered nonprofit corporation with pending tax-exempt status through the IRS.

Who We Serve

We support families in crisis — including single parents, seniors, caregivers, and those facing unexpected hardship. Our services are always confidential and led with compassion. No documentation is ever required.

What We Provide

Through a growing network of volunteers and bilingual outreach, we deliver:

Nutritious groceries and pantry staples

Hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, menstrual care, etc.)

Baby essentials (formula, diapers, wipes)

Bilingual packets with legal, health, and local resource information

All items are delivered directly to families in need — with care, not judgment.

Fuel and packaging for weekly deliveries

Please note: We are a nonprofit corporation and have submitted our application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS. Once approved, donations may be retroactively tax-deductible to the date of our application, subject to IRS determination.
