Hi, I’m Ayden!

I’m a freshman at MIT, and I’ll be running my very first marathon this year. I’m doing it for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. When I was three and a half, my twin sisters were born. One of them, Kayla, was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and pulmonary hypertension.

My family spent countless hours searching for care. Doctors told us again and again, “There’s nothing we can do.” But my family refused to give up. We moved to Boston, where we found both expert doctors and incredible support — including a place to stay through our hospital. Having a safe, welcoming home made it possible for my parents to stay close to Kayla while she fought for her life.

After nearly two years of care, Kayla passed away. Her strength inspires us even today, and the kindness shown to our family continues to shape our lives. This support led my mom to join Hospitality Homes, where she now helps other families facing the same challenges we once faced.

Today I set out on this fundraising journey for Hospitality Homes, a program that strives to provide housing for every family coming to Boston for medical care. Hospitally Homes provides over 12,000 nights of housing to over 3000 patients and their caregivers each year. Every dollar I raise provides a direct impact by allowing families to access life-saving treatment.

Your support means a lot to me — and to the families who find hope and comfort because of it.

Together we can make a real impact,

Ayden
