The Boston University Immigrants' Rights Clinic is representing "A", a single mother from Mexico, and her three children in their asylum case. A is a survivor of years of gender-based violence. She and her children fled Mexico to escape pervasive violence and are now seeking safety and stability in the United States.
A and her children are now eligible to apply for work permits. Obtaining work authorization is a critical step for them as it will allow the family to support themselves, access job opportunities, and transition into permanent housing.
Unfortunately, recent increases in immigration filing fees have made this process even more difficult. Each work permit application costs $550, and the family cannot afford the total cost for all of work permit applications.Without financial support, their applications cannot move forward.
Your donation will directly cover the government filing fees for A and her three sons’ work permits. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help bring this family one step closer to self-sufficiency and hope for the future.
Thank you for your generosity and solidarity! Please reach out to Gaby and Danna for questions or more information! ♡
