Against the better wishes of my wife and, likely, the entire medical community, I have decided to participate in the Taco Bell 50K.

For those that don’t know, this is a 50K (31-mile) trek through Northern Virginia and DC that includes stopping and eating at 9 different Taco Bells in the region.

Why am I doing this? Hard to say.

But I figured if I was going to do something this stupid, I should at least balance it out by turning it into a fundraiser. So, I am asking people to support my stupidity by donating to ALIVE! Inc., the oldest and largest private safety net for Alexandrians facing poverty and hunger.

ALIVE! is dedicated to helping individuals in our community who are facing emergencies or long-term needs, empowering them to achieve self-reliance and a better quality of life.

You can donate by the mile, or by the Taco Bell item consumed. You can even “sell short” and bet on me to fail. Either way, all of the money will go to Alive.
