My name is Alexis Ross, founder of Resting Hearts Community Doula & Wellness Center — a sacred space in Jacksonville, FL, born from a deep calling to bring peace, healing, and dignity to the parenting journey.

We officially opened our doors June 20th, and the love and support we received from the community was overwhelming. It confirmed what we already knew: this work is needed, and this space is sacred.

But now, just as we've taken this beautiful first step, we need your help to keep going.

Our wellness center is more than a building. It’s a living, breathing village — a place where parents are seen, supported, and celebrated.

Since losing my 9–5 job unexpectedly, I’ve poured everything I have — heart, labor, savings, and time — into making this dream real. While the grand opening was a success, we’re still in urgent need of financial support to sustain our programs and operations.

Restored Visionz: Parent Entrepreneurship Lab

Helping mothers and parents turn their talents into businesses through workshops, coaching, and community backing — creating economic freedom one parent at a time.

Resting Hearts is the first community doula and wellness center of its kind in our region. We are rooted in Black reproductive justice, family restoration, and the power of collective care. Every service we offer — from postpartum support to smoothie bars to community dinners — is about reminding people they are not alone.

We are not a charity project. We are a blueprint for what’s possible when care and culture come together.
