As the seasons change, we are excited to share updates with our supporters on the many projects underway at Spruce Mountain Ski Area. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the tireless efforts of our volunteer team, we have made remarkable progress both on the mountain and within our beloved lodge, “The Barn.” Over the past several months, volunteers have devoted countless hours to hill maintenance, completing groundwork from Phase One of our revitalization, and tackling major infrastructure upgrades critical to the mountain’s future.

A standout achievement has been the completion of the state-mandated electrical system upgrade, a project exceeding $75,000. This crucial improvement ensures reliable power for the entire mountain, enabling enhanced snowmaking, improved lighting for night skiing, and the safety systems necessary for year-round operations. Looking ahead, our focus is on further enhancing the mountain experience by upgrading the snowmaking system, installing new on-mountain lighting, and completing the fire suppression system so “The Barn” can safely host events and community gatherings throughout the year. This past summer, Spruce Mountain proudly hosted the New England Hill Climbers motorcycle dirt bike competition and the Rock the Mountain Music Festival, a free family event featuring a Rail Jam and Sledding Party, demonstrating our commitment to creating diverse recreational opportunities for all.

Spruce Mountain Ski Area remains a cornerstone of our tri-town community—a place where families gather, young skiers learn to love winter, and outdoor recreation is accessible to everyone. Every donation, volunteer hour, and show of support brings us closer to a sustainable future along the scenic banks of the Androscoggin River. We are profoundly grateful to everyone who has contributed to this journey and invite continued support as we build on the momentum that has already transformed Spruce Mountain into a vibrant hub of recreation, community engagement, and lifelong memories.

“Once a Spruce Kid, always a Spruce Kid.” Please consider donating whatever you can—financially, large or small—or offering your time and skills to keep Spruce Mountain a vital and thriving part of our community.
